COVID-19 information

Can I still buy Or sell a property in Tier 4?

Estate agents in England are permitted to remain open, enabling prospective buyers and renters to continue attending property viewings, the government has confirmed. The government says that agents can continue to operate during the lockdown, as long as they follow the latest guidance for employers and businesses on Covid-19 and safer working.

How has COVID-19 affected the buying/selling process?

Estate and letting agents have had to adapt to the ‘new normal’. Although the COVID-19 has not stopped the property market, we have had to find ways of learning and adapting our approach and marketing to ensure we are staying as safe as possible at all times. We have seen some really great results post ‘lockdown’ selling over £20 million pounds worth of the property.

Can I still move home?

Yes! Estate agents, solicitors, and removal firms are all allowed to continue to work as normal.

As well as this, the government has advised that property viewings can also continue to take place, as long as their strict safety guidelines are adhered to at all times.

Can I still list my property for sale or rent?

Absolutely. We have set out strict guidelines for our employees to make the whole process as stress-free and safe as possible. All of our staff members are now back working in our offices.

If you do need to speak with a member of our team face to face for any reason, please bring a face mask with you to the office.

We are still offering home visit valuations for those who want to get their property on the market. All of our valuers are equipped with the required PPE to keep you and your family safe at all times.

Do I need to bring anything with me when viewing a property?

There should be no more than 2 households inside the property at any one time. This includes any agent accompanying either party. Anyone in a support bubble with either household, however, will count as part of that household.

Viewings in person need to be arranged by appointment only. When viewing in person, you should maintain a 2 meter distance where possible and avoid touching surfaces.

Homeowners should keep internal doors open and clean surfaces and door handles with standard household cleaning products afterwards. Government advises estate agents and potential buyers/tenants on viewings to wear face masks.
